The ITOKI Tokyo Innovation Center, SYNQA, became the first Japanese company named as the global winner of "The Shaw Contract Group 2013 Design is... Award." ITOKI's Creativity and Architecture Design Receive Global Recognition

ITOKI CORPORATION (Head office: Joto-ku, Osaka; President: Tadashi Matsui; hereafter “ITOKI”) has been selected as the global winner in five out of 369 entries from 26 countries in “The Shaw Contract Group 2013 Design is…Award.” organized by Shaw Contract Group since 2006. The Shaw Contract Group is the world’s leading carpet manufacturer and has received the Best of NeoCon Award for the 11 consecutive years since 2001. ITOKI was the first Japanese firm to receive such an award.

“The Shaw Contract Group Design is…Award” is a global design award recognizing projects that incorporate innovative and novel ideas beyond conventional architecture design. A judging panel consisting of prominent designers from around the world evaluates the story behind each design, image, and the essence of the design.

The ITOKI Tokyo Innovation Center, SYNQA, was named the prestigious global winner.
