Systema Find Picker (SFP) is an automatic book pickup machine that achieves unattended book lending.

For pickup of books including reserved books

Despite the high need for borrowing and returning of books at public libraries outside of office hours, most of the current services only support returns. To meet these needs, Systema Find Picker allows for services, including pickup of reserved books, outside office hours.

To enhance services at public facilities and in areas in front of stations

While citizens have a strong desire for a library, many facilities cannot support one due to space restrictions and administrative difficulties. As a solution to meet their needs and enhance public services, a mini library can be set up in places such as public facilities and areas in front of stations.

Space saving

Book shelves can be arranged all the way up to an unreachable height, maximizing the use of available space. In addition, the concentrated automatic lending terminal functions enable a library to be established with a small footprint.

Automatic pickup/shelving

A book is conveyed to a pickup slot automatically according to the user's operation. Shelving is also done automatically.

Self-operation

The touch panel provides easy operation for anyone. Self-operation eliminates the need to meet librarians to borrow books, maintaining borrowers' privacy.

Safety-conscious

Systema Find Picker was designed with an emphasis on safety and security. With a flat body intended for installation in a public space, it has a well-designed quakeproof structure. It also has a safety mechanism for the pickup slots to protect users' fingers from being caught.

Systema Find Picker is an automatic book lending system that automatically loads and dispenses a book according to a scanned IC tag affixed to the book.

Console

Linked with a library's administrative system, SFP can be used with existing library cards (rewritable cards and barcode cards).

Pickup slots

SFP picks up each book set in a special folder and conveys it to one of the pickup slots.

Error rack

Books incorrectly loaded will be conveyed here.

Loading rack

Set a book in the loading rack randomly and touch the loading button on the Administrator's operation panel. SFP will then automatically convey it to an empty shelf.

Return Box

Hold the IC tag affixed to each book over the reader to scan the informtion. When it is a book that can be returned from SFP, the slot flapper will be unlocked, allowing the book to be dropped in. The return box, which can store approximately 100 books, is equipped with a sensor that detects when the cart has been filled with books, indicating as such.
