Furniture born to support the practice of "design thinking"

Innovation is a prerequisite for creating new concepts and cultivating heretofore non-existent markets on a continuous basis. The inova line of furniture supports design thinking as a route to innovation. By reconfiguring the furniture, workers can create optimal spaces for each step in the process of design thinking-1) empathize, 2) define, 3) ideate, and 4) prototype & test.

Creating spaces that maximize the workers' creativity

1. Empathize

In this step workers conduct fieldwork and interviews, and put themselves in the target users' shoes. The space that will serve as the team's base requires enough room so that it can be used in a way that does not hinder free activity.

2. Define

Workers take the pieces of information collected in the "empathize" step, and to the furthest extent possible, express and share them in visual forms such as handwritten notes, photographs, and videos. The visual format facilitates information sharing and speeds up the process of defining problems.

3. Ideate

Workers generate a great quantity of ideas as a necessary step toward arriving at an innovative idea. Whiteboards in the inova line can be increased in number according to the volume of ideas, allowing workers to maximize their creativity.

4. Prototype & Test

Workers swiftly give shape to the best idea, and through numerous failures, work their way toward a successful tangible solution. Tables and storage items in the inova line can be mixed and matched to organize the necessary space for this step and set in place frequently used tools.
